INSPIRED BY A BEE EARRINGS

In a time, long, long ago, before the PANDEMIC, we used to retreat to the beach and spend 3 days doing the following:

not washing up
not cleaning ANYTHING
ignoring all family crises
not dealing with male nonsense
talking to like minded, intelligent women
making pretty things
having someone else cook for us
JUST HAVING TIME OFF FROM THE VAGARIES OF THE WORLD
shopping from the fabulous stores – every day!

While we are indulging in these delicious activities we are marveling at the astonishing pieces of beadwork provided for the annual Margaret Scovil Challenge.

2020 and we just squeaked in. Our retreat was at the end of February. In March we were all in lockdown. Phew, just made it.

These earrings are part of the set I created for the 2020 Margaret Scovil challenge. They are bead embroidered with the following components: 14mm and 4mm Swarovski crystals, seed beads and gold chain. They are post earrings and will sit flat against your earlobe.

They are 2 1/4 inches long and the top bezeled crystal is just under an inch wide.
