Nancy Cain gave a 3 day Masterclass at the Bead & Button show in Milwaukee, WI during June 2015. The class was titled "Engineering Vessels". During the class I experimented with various techniques and ideas. A germ of a design came to me there and evolved once I got back to my studio. Eventually I made the horn of plenty basket.
Once I finished it I had to think about filling the basket. This thought simmered for some time and then one morning I woke up with the idea of a simple necklace. Getting stuck on harvest fruits and flowers stopped my thought process for a while until I let it go. Simple is better. And who's to say a lovely, shiny necklace isn't a bountiful thing?
