The U.K. celebrates National Beading Week. As part of the celebration one year, Jean Power designed a lovely necklace with interchangeable star pendants. The pendants are centered around a Swarovski rivoli.
The pattern is presented as a Secret Bead-Along and each day Jean emailed new mystery instructions to thousands of keen beaders.
This is the first time I have used Swarovski rivolis. As I had none in my stash it meant purchasing some at the Bead and Button Show in Milwaukee, WI (what a shame!).
As you can see from the closeup, there are five different styles of star stitched around the bevelled rivolis. I chose a bright galvanised yellow as my main colour and contrasted it with a dark blue. Quite striking.
Approximately 18 inches long with 5 components each around an 1 1/2 inches in diameter. These components are removeable so you can choose to have all five at once on the chain or just one. Very versatile.
