This is a first time for me. I’ve always admired artists who destroy earlier work to create new work.
I made a piece for an exhibition – the piece was not accepted.
A small piece was needed for the Studio Art Quilt Associates traveling Trunk Show.
Once in a Blue Moon is not a successful piece – but cropped it becomes more interesting.
The cropped piece makes a very nice little fractal quilt – perfect size for the Trunk Show.
Had to take a deep breath when I took the scissors to the material – but in the end, worth every bit of oxygen as I created 2 very nice artworks from 1.
