Chocolate 3 Ring Circus Pendant

Because we designed the 3 Ring Circus Pendant workshop around 5 different colourways I wanted to play with other colours for my own personal pendant.

Learning about the CMY method of mixing colours was quite an eye opener. And it really is intuitive. At least for me it is. The only thing I need to learn is how the individual brands make their colours and how saturated they are. For example, fuchsia is a very concentrated shade and you don’t need much to turn yellow into various shades of orange with just the tiniest piece of fuchsia clay.

If you mix black, fuchsia, and yellow together. you get a lovely shade of chocolate. Believe it or not, this was the colour I wanted and blow me down, I got it! It’s that easy.

All that remained was to choose the beads to tie the 3 cabochons together. I think I did a pretty nice job.

Might even make some more …

The pendant is approximately 8 1/2 inches long and is strung on a brown faux leather neck cord.
