A long time ago, in a far away galaxy… No, that’s another movie. This cuff is the star of today’s movie. I say all that nonsense ‘cos, like all of us, I started this project many years ago and somehow it never got finished.
Well, I’ve finished it now.
I wasn’t going to enter a piece into the 2019 Portland Bead Society challenge but then I found this cuff lurking in my UFO box. Ah ha, a piece to enter. The challenge is as follows:
The 2019 Margaret Scovil Bead Challenge is to create a piece based on the theme “Change” The piece must be composed of at least 50% beads, and must be wearable.
My accompanying statement is simple:
“I wasn’t going to enter a piece this year but I CHANGED my mind”. Boom.”
Here’s the cuff laid out flat:
The cuff is 9¼” long and 2″ wide. It is fastened by a button through a buttonhole and then secured with 2 snaps.
Made with seed beads, delicas, and glass buttons. The edge is fringed with tiny seed bead picots.
