Versailles cuff

Melanie Potter came to the Portland Bead Society in October 2015 and taught 3 days of classes. This is one of the pieces and it is the first one I finished because I wanted to wear it so much. It’s just beautiful.

Made with seed beads, delicas, glass pearls, Swarovski crystals, and a pin and chain to fasten. The clasp is a bit awkward to slide together with one hand so if you can find a helpful soul around it would be easier to get them to put the bracelet on your wrist. However, after some fiddling I have found an easy way to put it on myself. Just don’t try and put it on in a hurry as there are 3 sections the pin needs to go through. Once it’s all together, along with the little button and loop fastening, it’s very secure.
