Sparkle YLI 100wt silk twisted with metallic thread, 100 meter spools 100% silk twisted with one strand of gold or silver metallic thread. You can use this thread the same way you use the solid colours. On the sewing machine for gorgeous sparkly quilting lines, for outlining appliqué, for creating fine embroidery lines...........

There are 100 meters of silk thread on each spool.

If you want to save yourself a few dollars I recommend you buy the Silk Sparkle collection which contains all 7 colours.

TIP From Diane Gaudynski - for machine quilters. If you find a skipped stitch every-so-often, or a bit of gold metallic shows through to the backing, or worse, the thread balls up behind the needle and frays..... buy some #80 SUK Schmetz Jersey ball point needles. Quilt just a bit slower, lower the top tension more, and take a slightly larger stitch than with plain silk thread.
