Stef Francis variegated machine quilting thread

This is a lovely variegated machine quilting thread which is not easy to find in America. This #40/2 cotton thread is space dyed in Stef Francis' studio in England using a range of different colours. It is as fine as an American 50 weight thread. To compare sizes have a look at this comparison chart.

All quantities refer to length before dyeing - some length change may occur during dyeing. Their hand dyed threads have been tested for light fastness and the results were entirely satisfactory, permanent colour fastness cannot be guaranteed due to the individuality of the dyeing process.

150 meters per spool, approximately 164 yards.

Stef Francis was featured in Quilting Arts Magazine, Spring 2005 Issue 17. When I go over to England I try to catch her stand at one of the English quilt shows. She and her husband Sid are always kept extremely busy as their product is popular.
