FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ARTIST ROSE RUSHBROOKE JOINS KING STREET STUDIOS
Leesburg, Va - Artist Rose Rushbrooke is the newest addition to King Street Studios in Leesburg, Virginia.
Rushbrooke is a fabric artist. She creates textile wall hangings and framed pieces for homes and corporate spaces. Working by hand and with machine, using both commercially printed cotton and hand-dyed fabrics, Rose brings together traditional quiltmaking techniques and contemporary textile art. One of her specialties is fractal art quilts, designs of which are based on a simple formula describing infinite complexity.
To learn more about Rushbrooke's work, visit her at King Street Studios in Leesburg, beginning April 1, 2006 where you can talk to the artist, purchase available works, discuss commissions and find out more about her textiles.
King Street Studios, located at 222 South King Street, is a collection of fifteen working artists' studio spaces. Open to the public, King Street Studios are home to artists working in oil, watercolor, pastel, photography, charcoal and sculpture and now, textile art.
