23. Turn it over and trim out the excess leaving a seam of about one eighth of an inch.
24. The appliquéd strip with freezer paper still stuck to the fabric.
25. Gently ease up the freezer paper template.
26. Iron it down over the seam.
27. Two pieces done.
28. Fit the third piece snug against its partner and iron this down.
29. Using a lead pencil, draw around the edges of the template, include the register marks.
30. Now start putting the main sections together. Pull off any freezer paper left making sure that the pencil lines and register marks are clear.
31. Pin together at register marks and in between at half inch intervals. Use a small running stitch to seam the pieces together. Choose which direction you want the seams to lie and iron flat.
32. Pin together an appliquéd strip to a solid piece.
33. Stitch together and then trim the seam to between one eight and one quarter of an inch.
