Computer Software

If you are interested in the computer software programs I use for my work I have listed them here. I maintain a website, design art quilts, and run a home office so I use a variety of programs.

Graphic Image Software

CorelDraw: a great drawing program.

Adobe Photoshop: good for working with images and also web work.

Fractal Software

Fractal Forge: my fractal generating program of choice. Created by Uberto Barbini, it is freeware and very simple to use. For those of you who wish to create usable templates for designing this a great choice.

Fractint: A DOS program so being a post-DOS computer user it doesn't come naturally to me. Freeware.

The Mandelbrot Fractal Generator: allows you to explore the beautiful fractals of the Mandelbrot and Julia sets. Created by a fellow countryman Dan Freeland. Freeware.

Ultra Fractal: If you are into fractal image for the sake of fractal images then this is the ultimate fractal program. They have an excellent tutorial.

HTML Software

Can't recommend Homesite highly enough. If you like to hand code but don't want to dot every 'i' and cross every 't' then you will love this program. There are lots of short cuts but you can keep your code clean and tight. Everything counts towards downloading a web page quickly.
