Postcards in the artist's studio

When I get together with my quilting and artist buddies we swap postcards. It's a really nice way to show off your latest piece of work. I collect invitations to exhibitions as well - some people have their work photographed and put on the front of the card. However, how to display them?

The display question was resolved when I moved downstairs to my basement studio. There was a big door leading into the rest of the basement. It was bare and boring so it occurred to me I could pin my postcards to it and make a really nice display. I put all my own invitation cards with images of my work up too. Not sure what will happen when I run out of door but I'm sure I'll think of something.

The ceiling looks pretty bare ...

I have a couple of companies I use for printing my postcards. Modern Postcard does a nice job and I know a lot of other artist's use them. Vista Print are another company I have used. You can upload your image online and proof it.

When you complete a work get a postcard printed and hand it out just as you would a business card. When you give an exhibition then have a piece of your artwork on the front and put all the information about the show on the back. The prices offered by these companies are reasonable.
